Hi !
I joined a small business a little while ago and I got to reorganize quite a few things IT-wise, and there's one thing that's been bothering me, and it's time to do something about it.
My boss who is very much computer illiterate surprisingly managed to set up email retrieval from our provider server in gmail, using pop3. Not bad but very impractical when several users need to access the same inbox, and in general gmail is just not so nice to use for work, it checks pop3 accounts very randomly. I have enough storage space on the server to leave emails there and stop downloading them in gmail, so ideally I'd start using IMAP in Outlook to retrieve emails directly from the server.
My biggest problem is that a very large chunk of our emails were deleted from the server and only exist in our gmail account now, and most of them are already archived with labels, so switching to Outlook would mean going back to Gmail everytime I want to search through our old emails. Is there any solution to either reimport it onto our server through IMAP or whatever protocol, or move all that to another gmail-like solution (=accessible by multiple users/computers) that actually supports IMAP or checks pop3 more often ?
