I a Romanian citizen residing and working in Denmark, have a Russian wife that currently resides in Russia.
Because of the war all danish embassies are closed in Russia and most embassies in countries nearby like Kazakhstan or Georgia are saying that inly citizens that are residents in these countries can apply for a Shengen visa.
We recently emailed VFS office in Ankara and got an answer stating that russian citizens can apply from there. Yet when creating an appointment the field called "applicants residence" is filld with "Turkey"
Would that cause an issue? If yes then where would Russians be able to apply?
Maybe someone has relatively recent experience with that.
For information we want to use the free movement law to get the visa which theoretically should work fine, the problem is where to apply
