What do I need to know
About a month or two ago I injured myself during a half marathon (I think my peroneal tendon got inflamed or something) and I want to start running again. Since I’ve been Injured and I picked up swimming and cycling so I don’t lose all the training I did for before my half marathon. Running the half marathon at a fast pace was fun but I didn’t enjoy the training for it. The long runs were my favorite part. In October I am running my first marathon but I decided to try and run a 100k before hand so I can do more long runs and maybe run the marathon a bit quicker (if I didn’t do the 100k I would try to get the marathon in under 4 hours). My longest run up until now was 40km. What are the most important things I should know. Do I need different gear? It wouldn’t be an official 100k. I will try a Fastest known time route or something like that. Thank you for your help
