Why are there so many television shows with space battles but not movies outside of Star Trek and Star Wars. The only one I can think of is The Last Starfighter (1984). But for television there is Battlestar Galactica, Stargate franchise, Babylon 5, Expanse, Space: Above and Beyond, probably more I can't think of right now. I would think with the success of both Star Trek and Star Wars movies, there would be more movies with space battles. Movies have a bigger budget than television so it can't be a money thing. Is there a reason or am I just not remembering these movies?
