Cutting pencil pines
Should I cut off this competitor growth? None of the other pencil pines had them, I wouldn’t have chose from the nursery but they only had the amount I wanted. I figured it would blend in but it’s getting pretty big now. Google says I should cut off any competitor growth as when the tree gets bigger it will cause it to be top heavy and have weak points which could break during high winds.
Thoughts?
