Retron card failure vs TG16

Does anyone with Retron and system ever a card fail on one but not the other?

I posted a bit ago about coming across a treasure trove of games. I couldn't find anyone with system near me so I bought a used Retron. After the initial cursing and swearing, I got it working to try my games.

All but 3 loaded up (unfortunately including two I was really excited for). So my question is does anyone of.the Retron just has problems with some specific games vs another emulator or an actual system?

My heart says keep, especially if the three worked, but my brain says some of these games could sure help make a dent on paying off my kids braces.

A recent find from my first console Turbo Express

My sibling and I grew up on the poorer side with proud parents. They couldn't afford a console and wouldn't let my grandparents buy us an NES either. They finally relented if we purchased it with our own money so we spent a whole summer saving up and narrowed it down to the Sega Game Gear or Turbo Express. Turbo Express it was. I loved it.

Fast forward to 2005, after I graduated college, I found out my mom gave it away to a charity with "all the games." I was annoyed but I hadn't played it in years and honestly was more of a PC guy at this time.

Last week, I went through an old container and found all these games. These were all the games I played the least so I guess they were put into a different container.

I guess I struck gold with Magical Chase.

My firm is a sinking ship

No this isn't a plea for a job. Just a rant. I'm a director at a boutique government health firm with 15 years in this specific industry and with an additional 6 in other areas. Out of the 50 of us, there are maybe 10 that do the work but we won't adjust. Because of that were struggling to win new work (current clients love us but can't afford to pay us pre-current administration rates). My bosses refuse to invest in new service offerings until we win a bid. We can't win a bid because we don't have the quals. We don't have the quals because we won't invest in hiring people that do. We're in a vicious catch 22 and I can't help but feel like how the few sane people must have felt at Sears, Blockbuster, or Kodak.

I've turned down 4 offers in the past few years because I wanted to be a part of turning this ship around but instead our inept leadership has driven away more and more of the talent to our rivals because of "cultural concerns." First offer I get, I'm out.

I'm tired, boss
