New Amlactin with Vitamin C

Is anybody using the new Amlactin with vitamin c in their routine? I’m currently using Tret .05% cream 6 times a week and use Amlactin 12% on the night off. Thinking of switching to the new Amlactin with vitamin c every morning since it’s only 5% and could replace my current vanicream vitamin c. I don’t currently use AZA but am thinking about trying to incorporate that in a few months to see if I get any benefits.

Question for long term tret users

How long have you been using tret? What does your routine look like? How long did it take you to get to nightly use? Do you still take breaks for hydration?

I’m on month 4 and still working my way to nightly use. Right now I can handle about 5 or 6 nights a week. I want to push through and do every night but my skin feels like it still needs a break sometimes.

Current routine
AM: Micellar water, vanicream vitamin c, the ordinary moisturizing factors + ha, DRMTLGY physical tinted sunscreen

PM: manyo oil cleanser, LRP Toleriane purifying cleanser, tret. If I have a lot of time, I will open face sandwich with CeraVe pm moisturizer, and wait a couple hours before applying tret.

I have combination/oily skin and large pores with sebaceous filaments, but don’t really struggle with acne. This routine worked really well before tret Should I switch it up now to a more gentle cleanser as it feels like my skin is more dry and sensitive with the tret. Or is this a normal part of the process and I still need to take breaks until my skin gets acclimated?
