I was extremely hyped when I first got this camera, and while I still love it, I think it's important to be realistic about its limitations. It's a fun, compact, and charming camera that shines in daylight and casual situations, but it won't replace a more capable point-and-shoot if low-light performance is important to you.
I got the Konica AA35 about two months ago, and I've been carrying it with me almost everywhere since then. Honestly, I think it's one of the best pocket cameras ever made, and the half-frame format makes it even better.
The f/4 lens also struggles at night. Unless you're using the flash or shooting in well-lit areas, don't expect sharp results. The flash works well for portraits and parties, but if your subject is too far away, the photos can look soft or disappointing. The camera isn't perfect. It definitely needs some kind of grip or wrist strap. I've accidentally blocked the lens or sensor with my fingers more times than I'd like to admit.
Overall, I'd give the Konica AA35 a 6/10. I adore it, I carry it everywhere. I also think it's a camera you have to learn to work with rather than expect perfection from.
