Goldfish Hiding

I recently started a small pond (plan to size up as the fish grow in size) and stocked it with 3 feeder comet goldfish and 8 rosy minnows. It’s been about 2 weeks, water is being tested every two or three days and levels look great, no fish have died and they have plenty of hiding places (lily pads, rocks, water lettuce and hyacinth, and driftwood.) Temperature is ideal and all fish are eating.

Will my fish ever come out of hiding? I never see them. Like maybe a fleeting glance once a day during feeding. The pine had less hiding areas before, but I read that they will be more willing to come out if they feel secure by having lots of cover. So I followed that sentiment and they still hide 😩 Do they become more social as they grow bigger? They are about 1.5-2” long now. Or will they always be elusive?
