As the World Cup has now started, I decided to read Jonathan Wilson's magnificent book, The Power and the Glory A new History of the World Cup and it raised a couple of thoughts:

Is Jonathan going to write an updated edition to include a chapter on the 2026 World Cup?

Or is there enough material out there on ticket prices (and availability), visa restrictions, Trump, Infantino, etc, etc for Jonathan to write an entire new book about this World Cup? 

Keep up the great work on the podcast and hopefully Max and Barry don't kill each other in their flat before England triumphantly win the World Cup in New York!

Oh and finally, I noticed at the end of the book how gracious Jonathan was to Max and Barry on the contributions they made in the book!!!😜

Been having a look at the pattern of trade offers and I think 1 in 50 trade offers made to me are good; 10 to 20 are reasonable (but generally not of interest) and around 30 are plain ridiculous (either a combination of people's naivety, but not many, but mainly people just chancing their arm). U just have to keep looking out for the good ones and don't accept the bad ones. Good luck everyone.

I had the luck of the Draw the other day with the Women 9, but not today as I missed out on another Philippines and Women 9. Thats the game I guess. Good fun though.

So I’ve just gone for a walk and as someone has already noted earlier today, the redraw was available on the walk as you pick up cards. I tend to listen to music or a podcast as I walk and I played the adverts as I walked. As I walked the adverts didn’t cut across the podcast and therefore I’m happy to play adverts and walk; as it didn’t bother me. However, I can fully understand the logic of having too many adverts and why people are getting fed up. Incidentally I swapped 7 rubbish cards and got 7 more rubbish cards.
