28, just starting with 1000/1500 euro per month to invest, saving for both retirement and a house in ~5y. How would you shape an investment plan?

Hi to everyone,

I am just starting looking into investment and seeking advice on how to shape my investment portfolio.

I am 28, I live in Spain and, after expenses and some extra, I have \~2400 euro which I can move around each month (for sure 1000 to invest, the rest I am not sure if to keep cash).

My partner also has a similar situation, although I am not sure about merging our investments.

The objective would be twofold: save for retirement and being able to make an upfront payment to buy a house in 5/6 years. I went through the beginner guide and I have an emergency fund (\~20k with a 2% annual interest, probably a bit high), but I am struggling defining an investment plan that is doable for both objective.

Some post in the subreddit suggest picking ETFs such as WEBN or VWCE and forget about it. I would anyway have to withdraw money for the house at some point.

What would be in your opinion a wise approach to it?
