So with Jennings off the market, I have to imagine we have a plan for the WR2 spot and Jennings was not that plan. People keep mentioning Aiyuk and just brushing off the fact he had a severe injury he did not go to rehab for, appears highly mentally unstable, and seems completely uninterested in football. I’d be shocked if the 9ers are telling us the whole story on him either. I seriously doubt he’s ever playing again, here, San Francisco, or on mars.
The arguments in favor of his being signed in DC are he used to play with Jayden Daniels and he’s cheap, which seems pretty unconvincing to me. We COULD hit the jackpot and his injury ends up being fully recovered and he suddenly rediscovers his love for football and life by Jayde Daniels’ sheer magnificent presence, I’m not refuting it as impossible.
My main worry is if we put so much attention into this basically lottery ticket of a FA signing rather than an actual confirmed day one starter at WR we very well may not get one which is pretty concerning. If Peters and Quinn and the others have as much interest in this guy as the fans seem to I think we could be in a pickle.
