Upgrades 2.0 is live, and seeing the theorycrafting and unique playstyles coming to life is a real joy. That variety is exactly the depth and strategy we envisioned.
Now our focus turns to a few things we need to get right around Upgrades 2.0: economy, matchmaking, quality of life improvements, and the people to help us move faster.
First, let’s talk about the economy. We hear you, and we agree. We’ve done a few things, like daily win rewards and more resources in the Flight Pass, and we know there is more to do; upgrading your favorite jet takes more time than it should.
We have several changes underway to better tune it. While we do that work, today, your Daily Free Web Claim has increased rewards 5x, with 500 Silver now as one of the rewards. And until the economy update lands, we're dropping Silver codes every single day. These codes will drop in our social posts so keep your eyes peeled and be sure to share with your friends and Squadrons
Next, let’s talk matchmaking. We've been working on this in the background for a while, and we're making progress. A new system is about to head into testing that will give us numerous new tuning options and help us achieve more targeted match-ups and higher player density in matches. We’re excited and will share more on this soon.
On quality-of-life, fixes are coming to both mobile and PC, aimed at the rough edges you've flagged most.
To support the speed and scale of content we want to deliver, we are growing the team, including a UX designer and an engineer dedicated to new content. (Speaking of new content, there’s a little sneak peek at what the art team has been working on for a while now attached, our most colossal map yet.)
As a final note, thank you for your feedback. We read what you share on Discord, Reddit, across socials, and in support tickets, and the depth and thoughtfulness of your feedback has been incredible.
We want to make it easier for everyone to see and build on each other’s ideas, so we're bringing dedicated #suggestion channels back to Discord. And this Friday, we'll send a survey to dig deeper: missing features big or small, the bugs bothering you most, all of it.
