I'll preface this with I don't have high hopes, I know everyone's searching right now and I'm hardly special. Per the title, I got diagnosed fairly recently last year and have been struggling to find a stable job since.
I was already struggling before the diagnosis obviously but now that I understand why those previous jobs didn't stick I'm hoping to find long term employment that doesn't make me feel like walking in front of a garbage truck at full speed. Mostly joking but in seriousness I'm lucky if a job lasts longer than 6 months. I'm working on applying for disability but it wouldn't be enough to sustain me on its own and I know you can still work while on it, just with limitations.
Customer service has always been a struggle for me- especially phones god bring the truck back- so I'm hoping for something less customer facing? I'm not physically capable of heavy work like construction, otherwise it'd be a gloriously stable option 🥲. I'm quick on computers and stuff like document management or data entry but I don't have a degree so I'm not expecting much.
Still, anything anyone could share would be great! Even if you've just heard of a company having good culture around neurodivergency and/or autism!
