Advice on changing from creative roles to marketing roles
Hello!! Just as the title says, I’m a 25 year old worker on her first job. I’ve been here almost a year and a half already, but looking to job hop. Currently my role does both design related tasks and social media/campaign related tasks. Through the time I’m working here I realize that I kinda wanna shift more to marketing/business roles cause it feels like there’s more career growth there.
I just want some advice on how to further get these kinds of roles? Especially because I got a BFA in design so I feel like most roles get turned off since I didn’t take a business course or anything related to that. I’ve been trying to apply to new roles but it’s been hard to hear back from since I think they’re really looking for business grads.
I also just want to leave my job cause I don’t think there’s growth here. My coworker has been working here for like 4 years already and still never got a raise or promotion, she just keeps getting lateral movement. So I know I need to get out of here before I end up wasting my time.
