Drastic Vision Improvement

Tl;dr: My eyes improved from -3.25 to -2/-2.25 since my last exam in 2017. Optician does not know why.

First I will start by saying it has been a long time since I have seen an optician. My last appointment was in 2017 and I have just been buying new glasses from Zenni ever since. My prescription at that time was -3.25 in both eyes with an astigmatism. I was in my late 20s at that point and had that exact prescription since high school. I didnt notice any drastic changes in vision so I have just kept these glasses.

My husband received new insurance this year so we finally made our appointments. Everything seemed to be going normal, but after the test he asked to retest my current glasses and then retested me and stated there was a big change. After the double check he informed me that my eyes had actually improved to -2 and -2.25, still with an astigmatism. He said my eyes look perfectly healthy and dont seem to have any issues that would explain it.

I have had glasses since I was 5 and have never had an improvement. My astigmatism has come and gone a few times, but generally everything else has stayed the same or worsened slightly. I have gone through some weird medical issues the last few years, namely a neuroendocrine tumor taken out last year. I have had a lot of iron infusions and have been taking standard vitamins. I get regular blood tests and blood pressure checks with nothing too concerning. I just have no idea what would cause this much of a shift.

I am a little concerned that it could be a sign of something but Im not finding much online. Can this just happen for no reason?
