I work for a large med device company as an associate selling vascular access devices. I’m currently interviewing for a territory manager role at a distributor company in my area. This company is decent sized, better pay than I make as an associate. It’s the largest revenue territory in the company.

Anybody have experience similar to this? My concern is leaving specific device, or potentially taking a career step backwards on my resume. I would like to eventually move back into something more similar to what I do now, but there just are no territory manager roles open in locations I’m willing to live in right now. I have felt stuck as an associate recently. Happy to PM more specifics.
