70s Fender Twin combo to head conversion
I have a 1973 (I believe?) Fender Twin, originally silverface but modded to blackface specs when I bought it. I want to convert the amp into a head, which will be much more useful for my normal recording needs. Any advice on this? Is it more or less as simple as removing the amp portion and cutting down the combo cabinet? I'm not concerned about making a separate speaker cabinet from the remainder of the combo.
