Is this "strength stretching" so efficient? Or efficient at all?
Helloo. I just saw this video: https://youtu.be/NwX2dh0dwNA and I started feeling self-conscious about everything I thought I knew about my exercise routine, so I have to ask.
So, the guy basically argues that doing this reps at the most extreme point of your range of motion a couple of times per weeks (to which I refer as "strength stretching", because I have no clue what it's real term is lol) is way more efficient than doing "regular", static stretching. To the point where he claims it got him to an extreme level of flexibility in around only 4 months.
He also says that, once you achieve that, you can just stretch whenever you feel like it and the benefits practically don't fade with time.
Is this legit advice? It just sounds too easy and... unconventional. Like, I'm not the most informed person in the world of fitness, but I've never seen anyone do this before.
And in case it is, is it something you would replace every other form of stretching with?
I'm currently doing a hypertrophy training and at the end of every session, I do a (pretty lazy) stretching routine. Mostly static stretching. Should I replace that routine with these "strength stretching" then?
