Hey,
I've been harassed by the building manager my first year here and then after going ghost, landlord's new manager wanted me to pay their property taxes ($4000) for $150 off my next month. Crazy, right? lol. I had to read that text over 10 times to see if I was reading it correctly. I said no and he left me alone about it. the request felt like a disrespect to my intelligence, it's against NJ law, and just plain weird so I kind of want to leave.
However, I think I'm being picky. I think it's fear but I've been trying to look for new places but I'm afraid of getting a worse landlord or a worse apartment that's infested etc. I kind of don't know what to do and how to make sure my next move would be the right decision.
Any advice?
