Everyone knows the basic story: 9 experienced hikers found dead on Kholat Syakhl (Dead Mountain). But after spending the last few months compiling research, translating old Russian notes, and analyzing the evidence, some details just defy all logic. Here is what still doesn't make sense to me: The Tent: It was slashed from the INSIDE. They weren't attacked from the outside; they were desperately trying to escape something inside or near the tent. The State of the Bodies: Leaving a tent in sub-zero temperatures without proper clothing or boots is a death sentence. Yet, some were found in only their underwear. The Injuries: Two of them had major skull damage, two had severe chest trauma (comparable to a car crash), and one was missing her tongue and eyes. Yet, there were no external wounds. I got so obsessed with this case that I actually compiled all the theories, the bizarre autopsy findings, and the unexplainable evidence into a detailed 39-page investigation file. I'd love to know: what is the most logical theory in your opinion? Avalanche? Secret military test? Or something else?
