I have always been interested in astrophotography but I don't live in the best area so I decided to pull data from JWST using MAST instead of buying a new setup.

I figured I would learn the image processing aspect first and foremost.

I downloaded Gimp and Siril but I am very confused on the sequence/stacking part of Siril.

It looks like a lot of the data from MAST are already FITS files and they are labeled lights, darks, etc.

So I put those files in their own directory in the main folder but when I run the Python script it says it fails.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
