ODSP help!

Hi there! I’m my dad’s trustee.
And I’m wondering if there is a way to hand over responsibilities to a social worker or something?

Me managing his finances is damaging our relationship.

Any advice would be appreciated !

Trustee trying to handover to a social worker?

My dad 58, was extremely close to being homeless so I became his trustee. So his ODSP gets deposited into my account. He still gets his Survivors Benefit(from my mom) into his own bank account in which in hand I transfer to my account and then deposit money as he needs it. I pay his rent from my account and phone bill because to me those are the most important bills.

He sometimes falls for online scams and the most recent one was someone mobile deposited a large lumpsum into his account, and e-transfered themselves some of it. He’s going to the bank to get it figured out.

It’s been a nightmare trying to navigate everything or even convince him to let me be his power of attorney so I can also collect his CPP for him.

I’m hoping if someone has experience with setting their loved one up with a social worker manage their accounts and make sure their bills are paid. It’s really damaging our relationship and he won’t listen to me. I’m so afraid of him becoming homeless and getting kicked off assistance.
