There's only one spot in the house a pool table can fit and that's the basement. Issue is there is a foundational post in one area which makes the clearance only 3 feet UGHHH the post is about 6 -8 inches wide cause it's covered for "cosmetics".

Question is, should I still do it? I really want one but I don't want to hate having one because of this. Any experience with this and y'all did it anyways? How was that experience?

I have enough room length wise at exactly 5ft. But the width, I'm at 4 1/2 each side. Anybody pull the trigger given you have a similar situation? Will this work?

I'm not an expert by any means. But I wanna get a pool table as my dad is getting older and he's always loved pool. I want to spend some quality time with pops.

So I contacted several movers in hopes to save money on a pool table from FB marketplace. One of the movers then asked me what my budget was and proceeded to tell me he has a table in stock he is working on -- need to get rid of minor cosmetic scratches so he can sell for above $2k. He then says if I'm okay with some minor scratches (y'all can actually zoom in on them) he will sell me the table for $1500, with a Championship felt of any colour I want, brand new with installation, and the move and assembly is included. He also says all the accessories are included. He says it's slate and the rails are in great shape.

Question, is this a decent deal? Or am I getting ripped off?

Also do brands matter for pool tables? What brand do you guys think this is?

Thanks guys!

Hey guys, I'm no expert by any means but I want to buy a new pool table to spend more time with my pops (he loves pool).

Got this video from a seller. Selling for 800, mover is charging 550 CAD.

My question is, watching the video, does this need new rubber? Or will this suffice? I'm getting quoted an extra 495 CAD to change the rubber.

Edit: thank you all very much for the insight. I novice like me very much needed it.

Funny enough, because of your guys advice, I thought I ask the mover if the price is reasonable for the market in the city we are in -- he agreed with you guys. He instead had a pool table in stock he was selling with much better performance, free install, and we can choose cloth colour, free delivery, all accessories for a much better price!
