M-Tese. What are my odds here ?

LH: 10.22
FSH: 24.6
Test: between 400-500 can’t remember.
Sperm count: 0 (3 times)

My M-Tese procedure is scheduled for first week of October. I’m currently on Clomid every other day and will have one more SA done prior to my surgery. If no sperm is found then surgery will proceed.

I’m terrified guys, I’m scared of the recovery, of the pain, of the possibility of complications. I want to be a biological father so bad so I think my desire will get me through this but I’m just so scared of the thought. Any encouraging words would be great or any real thoughts on my chances of finding any viable sperm would be great. Thank you!

Also, chile you guys were going through this did you abstain from alcohol? Is that something that should be done??

Microdeletion testing completed

So today I got my results back on the Y chromosome microdeletion test. Thankfully it came back negative, no deletion!! This is the first good news I’ve received since December, 3 SA with zero sperm since then. I’m on clomid for the next month and a half at which point I will have another analysis done and then more than likely a micro TESE if my numbers are still at 0.

I’m very nervous about the whole thing and terrified at the thought of it. I’m considering the STAR program and seeing where that goes but I’m not sure yet. I’d like to hear any thoughts if possible. Thanks guys!

Test results ?

Hey guys so a week ago today I went in for labs and a semen analysis. This will be my third analysis since December both prior ones were at zero sperm. Started clomid about a month ago. Anyway when should I expect to get the results for the microdeletion test and the semen analysis ?? It’s been 7 days and the wait is killing me !

1st appointment and Outlook

Hey everyone, I’ve posted on here and found this community to be a great help so I wanted to come share what I think is somewhat of a milestone in this journey.

Yesterday I had my first appointment at a fertility clinic with a male urologist. We went over all my exams which were done at the VA and basically went over the outlook and plan going forward. The Dr. informed me that there doesn’t seem to be any blockage and that everything looks normal based on physical exam and ultrasound.

For context I had 2 analysis done back in December after TTC for over a year and a half, both came back with ZERO sperm. My FSH is at 24.6 and my LH was at 10.22.

Dr. Started me on Clomid and wants me to have another analysis done along with the Y chromosome microdeletion test. All this will happen within the next 4 months and if all goes well we will move forward with the Micro-Tese. It’s been tough, and all I’m doing is sitting around thinking the worse about how this might not ever happen for me and just thinking about what a pain it is to have to do all of this, make all these appointments, meet new doctors, all to have something that so many people in this world have without even thinking twice about it.

It’s just a lot and it’s frustrating and the waiting game really really sucks. Anyway just wanted to post my update and hear any thoughts on the outlook any of you may or may not have. Thanks all!
