Kyleena Side Effects?
I’m 25, just got Kyleena a month ago, my first IUD ever after almost 6 years off birth control (took the pill from 17-19 y/o). I’ve been spotting on and off since which I know is normal.
My question is, is it normal to have a lighter period after getting the IUD? Or have period symptoms but not much bleeding?
It’s hard to tell if it’s my period because of the spotting the last 4 weeks, but I’m usually very heavy flow on day 2-3 (like bleed through super/ ultra tampons in 2-3 hours type heavy flow). I’m cramping like crazy especially on the evening time, my quads are super sensitive/ sore, nipples a little sensitive, which are all normal period symptoms for me, but I’m not bleeding much at all. It feels different to my spotting while the bleeding has remained relatively the same.
My follow up with my doctor (to check the position of the IUD and make sure it’s all good) is next week, but I guess I wanted some outside input before then.
