I'm in the UK. Age 59/female. Had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy last July for suspected colitis under light sedation. They had to abandon the second procedure because of scar tissue/adhesions from a hysterectomy, and I couldn't cope with the pain or turn over as requested. Going in Wednesday for colonoscopy only (polyp removal and investigation of bleeding) under heavy sedation (general anaesthetic). Started the low residue diet this morning and planning to stop food Monday night. Tuesday on clear fluids only, 1st dose of Plenvu 6pm, 2nd dose Wednesday 6am. Hopefully all finished by 10am when I have to leave for admission at midday. Plenvu tasted vile last year but I'm trying with a straw this time, and again drinking lots of water. Also type 2 diabetic tablet-controlled, but my blood sugar will have to shift for itself for a few days. The toilet time wasn't painful last year compared to the cramping of a typical colitis attack, and I managed not to throw up. Wish me luck!
