I’m 25, 5’9 and I’ve been training to dunk for 3 years. I’ve been struggling with patellar tendinitis the whole time, the mad thing is that we all know what to do to manage the pain and to follow load management principles.

It’s a funny thing, training hard and jumping really pushes the limits of your body, but I didn’t want to stop trying to jump higher. I kept second-guessing whether to push through pain or back off, some days were fine but I’ve had sessions where I would bear the consequences for months.

I’ve distilled all the research papers I’ve read and my personal experience, created a daily pain and session tracking tool that gives training constrain and clarity on what the next steps are. Based on your training data and pain. It tells you what NOT to do, rather than what to do - because who’d want that.

I’m now looking for 5 testers to refine this, it’s completely free and takes 5 seconds out of your morning. I have in mind the goal of helping the person I was years ago and giving that person training clarity and insight into why I’m hurting and when I should back off my training.

If you’re a person that struggles with patellar tendinitis and you train hard, shoot me a dm. Help me create a tool that takes the guess work out.
