Help! Can’t get my 7 mo Lab to take her Quattro pill — tried everything!
My 7mo puppy is about 70 lbs and I am completely at a loss trying to give her her Quattro flea/tick/heartworm pill.
The pill is huge so I divide it into 4 pieces, but she still manages to eat around every single piece no matter what I try:
• Pill Pockets (Greenies) — she eats around it every time
• Chicken — same thing, surgical precision in removing the pill
• Peanut butter — nope
• Holding her mouth and placing pieces at the back of her throat — she’s too strong and wiggles out every time
She’s smart, stubborn, and apparently has a PhD in pill detection 😅
Has anyone found a method that actually works for their sneaky Lab? I’m running out of ideas!
