Expired meds?

I was prescribed 37.5 ER in 2023 by my oncologist but never started it because I didn’t like the idea of the side effects/withdrawals. I held onto the pills though.

I was started on 25mg IR 9 days ago by my PCP, but I’m finding that 4 or 5 hours after I take it I’m restless & on edge. Would anyone think it would be ok to take one of the 37.5mg ER from 2023 instead of the 25mg even though they’re 3 years old?

TIA for any insight or opinion.

So I started 25mg of Effexor today for anxiety/low mood, some of which is side effects of a hormone blocker after cancer. Are there any success stories out there? Like it helped and then you were able to successfully wean off when the time was right? I read this community and it’s so scary and depressing. I want to feel better and braver. I haven’t driven in 3 years and I’m tired of being stuck.

Also, can I take ibuprofen on the same day I take it?

What the hell? I’ve been prescribed Effexor 25mg once a day for anxiety/side effects from hormone blocker. I start tomorrow. I made the mistake of reading this group. Is it really that awful to withdraw from? Should I even start?
