Our personality’s click but he wasn’t over his ex and real world issues/ dynamics that made him feel like we’d never work out. Aka he just felt like he didn’t have his life together. Or creating a new connection would be too much work & his ex was an easier option.

Background: I was on & off with him since October, he was still seeing his ex while seeing me and she was under the impression they were still in a relationship. Recently I told the girl about me being around. He was angry at me obviously & said he never wanted me and to leave him alone. (That was a week ago, the dust has settled now).
I don’t think they stopped seeing each other but he’s probably realizing what he feels for who.
