Can I really replace Evernote with Joplin?
Evernote is my second brain. I use it all day for lists, tasks, reference, thoughts, plans, etc. I don't do anything fancy with it. It's mostly text notes & pdf's & a few pictures. But I would be lost without it. I have 1400 notes and 68 folders. I am 57 and not keen to learn something new, but Evernote's price jump is outrageous and I don't trust them either. I like the idea of privacy with Joplin. I would love to leave Evernote but I am scared. I will use it mostly with Macbook and secondarily on an Iphone or Ipad. Will it be OK? Can I really replace Evernote? Do I have to learn Markup? If so, is it easy enough for a middle aged guy who is only semi tech literate? Appreciate all your thoughts, but especially from 100% Apple users like me.
