Getting over gym anxiety

Hi! today was my first day at the gym. I have lifted some weights in the past but never consistently. Since late year, I was able to lose 40lbs by using my treadmill at home. When I got to the gym looked like a lost deer in headlights. I didn’t know where to go, what to do and when I did do something I would awkwardly spend like 10 minutes figuring out how to use it. I had the shittiest first gym day ever. I think I spent like 40 minutes to an hour but I’m just embarrassed. Plus my body is in the awkward stage of overweight and fit. Like I’m in the middle.
