I’m new to canned fish. In my country, I used to be very into mackerel in extra virgin olive oil, and now that I’m an expat, I’ve been thinking about it again. I decided to start looking for it in American supermarkets, along with sardines.

I generally love anchovies, salmon, and all kinds of fresh fish, so I decided to give canned fish a try and buy the cans that looked most attractive to me at The Fresh Market and Trader Joe’s near where I live.

This is what I found. Does anyone have any experience with the taste of any of these?
