Is there any Public Land near Vershire/Chelsea?
The land I used to enjoy for my first year in this house was privately purchased and strenuously posted immediately as no trespassing, and now I no longer have access to the woods loop I used to run daily. That trail loop was a big part of the reason I bought this house, but silly me should have realized private land can always be closed.
I am feeling stuck as there are no public trails or lands anywhere close by for after work type runs. The dirt roads are all uphill (then down). I do run them, but it's not trail running. The ATV trails are muddy and really rocky and also all uphill or down.
Are there any trails that are meant for mountain biking/running in this area? Looking for even just a three mile loop, ideally six or more? (I know that is a stretch).
The Cross Rivendell trail is basically no longer maintained and shut down in the sections near me anyway. I tried. It was unrunnable even unhikeable.
Help a trail runner out? I will be looking at moving within reason to an area with far more public lands, but as we all know that's not so easy these days.
