Paid for my car registration in late 2025. Printed off the temporary registration to put in my car and thought “when the new registration comes in the mail I will put it in the car and remove the temp”. (Talking about the actual annual registration, not plates).

Well, after 4 months that registration has yet to arrive and I just forgot about this…until it was time to inspect the car.

Since it’s been more than 60 days, I have to pay the state another $40 for a duplicate registration that they never delivered.

I love Vermont. I choose to live here, but man they are making it awfully hard. This is small time I know. Just needed to vent.
