Don’t take the name lightly. Honestly haven’t had much wildlife encounter in north Texas but wow. Those raccoons here are relentless. Stupidly fell asleep before putting the cooler in the car. Woke up to absolutely horrifying sounds and found a raccoon stealing our cheese and taking an ice bath in the cooler. They also somehow opened the latches on our storage container and rummaged through it. Scared them off but not before they made off with our leftover hot dogs, butter, and cheese :( Gorgeous views with a nice swimming area though. Plenty of nice geese. Booked out pretty far on the weekends but lots of availability during the middle of the week!
