So I was just making another attempt at getting through Desecrated Fortress biome, had almost beaten the Architect on the previous run, so decided to give it another go, thinking I had a good chance. However, after activating the eclipse and making it through a couple of rooms in the second half of the biome, something really weird (in my view) happened. Basically every new room I entered had a Solar Cage lock (from my experience you normally get two such rooms in the entire biome, here I had four in a row). But not only that, the enemies in those rooms were insanely more durable than normal. Like, I spent forever shooting at that big teleporting thing that you fight regularly in this biome, dealing tiny damage and even small enemies that you normally kill in 5 seconds took much longer to kill. It was like my weapons suddenly got downgraded to level 1, when in reality both my weapons were 20+ lvls, and on top of that, I had Damage and Armor Enhancements level 3 modifiers applied. I ended up dying in the 4th such room (counting the Second Chance ability) and not even reaching the boss.
So my question is this: is it normal for Saros to have such huge sudden difficulty spikes in certain runs? Because that seemed very strange to me, I get that each run is randomized in some way, but so far they've all seemed pretty similar difficulty-wise to me. But I never played Returnal and am only like 10 hours into Saros, so I'd like to hear what more experienced and knowledgeable players have to say about this.
