if u r having such thoughts, pls know that it's the seniors that come before u that made such culture possible. many around u may have such thoughts too. hall culture only survives when every batch contributes back to it.

hall culture/experience is what u make it out to be. only when u join and participate in cca and events, u'll get to have a feel of hall culture and the fun in it, and at the same time, continue building the hall culture for future batches. culture is built by everyone tgt.

if u r gg to any halls, help sustain it as well.

otherwise, js enjoying it without contributing is freeloading and selfish.

tldr, don't be selfish. contribute in hall.

why does smu heavily emphasize and bold their guaranteed second major?? r they trying to make themselves sound more impressive than they actually r??

nus also allows second major, and it's not that hard to get at all, js declare and bid ur mods accordingly. and only some r restricted, having to achieve good grades in some mods to pursue that second major. if anything, nus provides much more second majors than smu.

now on the topic of overseas experience.

is it truly harder for nus to go overseas? nus has much better partnership with overseas uni, so if unable to go exchange for any reasons (personal, financial), summer and winter school r widely accessible too.
