How to career shift as a BPO content moderator?

I’m 26 and have been working in the BPO industry as a content moderator for 3 years now. I graduated with a degree in hospitality management sa PUP. Medyo malayo ‘tong job ko sa tinapos ko kasi I never really felt aligned sa degree ko.

Siguro before ‘di pa ko masyadong nagaalala sa salary ko. Siguro kasi I was young, may inuuwian pa ‘kong family, and ‘di naman ako breadwinner. However, since moving out I realized na maliit pala for a single person ‘tong kinikita ko. Right now kasi it’s around 24k. I’m also noticing na may mom is getting old. I want to be able to provide for her soon and also have enough for myself to live comfortably. However, sa current salary ko I don’t think magagawa ko ‘yun.

I want to shift careers. I actually did once last year. Nag apply ako as social media manager sa isang manpower agency. I tried learning skills kasi na related sa tinapos ko and gusto kong i-pursue. However, due to low pay and a bit toxic environment, I decided to quit after three days. And back to BPO ulit as content moderator.

Ngayon, gusto ko pa ring mag shift ng career. However, ‘di ko talaga alam kung saan ba at ano ba pwedeng applyan. And unlike sa ibang BPO agents na nagkaroon ng experience sa sales and customer service, wala akong masyadong mai-aapply from my role to other positions kasi very niche talaga ‘yung ginagawa. I feel so frustrated because this wasn’t how I planned my life to be tbh. I’m grateful for my job naman. I’m able to live on my own. But there’s this feeling kasi na laging “sapat” and never man lang akong makapag give back sa parent ko.

I want to do a lot of things. I want to pursue something creative, I want to do writing, design, hell gusto ko na nga din pumasok sa government. Kaso I feel so overwhelmed by the pressure ng life at ng future responsibilities ko bilang anak.

I just want to treat my mom the way she deserves. ‘Di ko lang talaga alam paano ba makaalis sa cycle na ‘to and how to find a career na fit for me.
