I’m currently attempting a Shiny-only LGE play through. My “starter” for this run is going to be Bulbasaur and after 1273 caught, and multiple i’ve had to flee from etc. still nothing. haven’t even found a shiny caterpie or anything. just nothing. am i doing something wrong?

Edit: Bulbasaur finally shined after 1,614 caught. Feeling relieved but it’s time for Pikachu next so i wont be escaping vivian forest just yet.
