Schengen visa stress, would love to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar 🙏

Hi all! I finally got an appointment in Adelaide yesterday to submit my documents, but I’m worried I won’t receive my visa in time for my departure on 17 June. A few things went sideways and I’d love some reassurance (or honest advice).

A bit of context: I’m an Indian national living in Sydney with my French partner, who is also an Australian citizen. We’re travelling to France to stay with his parents who invited me.

Here’s what I’m concerned about:

  1. Attestation d’accueil, original not submitted
I didn’t know until I was at the appointment that they require the original. I only brought a scanned copy. His parents are in France and we’re both here in Sydney, so getting the original to me wasn’t something I’d planned for.

  2. Hotel booking added last minute, but conflicts with my itinerary
Without the original, I booked a hotel near his parents’ house on the spot and wrote a cover letter explaining the situation. But all my other documentation, my itinerary and my partner’s invitation letter, shows me staying at their home. I’m worried the inconsistency might raise a flag.

  3. Wrong arrival date on the application
I entered the 17th instead of the 18th. The interviewer noted it on my application but I’m still a little worried it could cause issues.

My supporting documents are otherwise strong, proof of employment, recent payslips, and a permanent residency application in progress, all showing strong ties to Australia.

Has anyone been through something similar? Will this pass, or should I start thinking about cancelling? Any advice would mean a lot 💙
