Understanding my part in the play call

I’m 6’6”, and this is my first time ever playing organized football. I’m playing tight end at the JUCO level, so everything is pretty new to me.
The biggest thing I’m struggling with is understanding the wording of the play calls. Some of them are really long, and I don’t always know what each word means or which parts of the play call actually matter to me as the TE.
For those of you who have played before:
How did you learn what each word in a play call means?
Is there a system for breaking down long play calls into smaller pieces?
What’s the fastest way to memorize an entire playbook?
How long did it take before reading a play call became second nature?
I’m willing to put in as much work as it takes. I just want to learn the smartest way instead of trying to brute-force memorize everything.
Any advice from coaches, quarterbacks, tight ends, or anyone who’s learned a playbook would be appreciated.

The Most Unexpected Thing That Improved My ACL Recovery

I’m currently a little over 9 months post-op ACL reconstruction, and I’ve been dealing with persistent anterior knee pain around my patellar tendon. I was expecting to be cleared around the 9-month mark, but the tendon pain has been one of the biggest setbacks in my recovery.

I’ve tried a lot of different things to get past this plateau, and honestly, the biggest improvement I’ve experienced came after I stopped masturbating and stopped having sex. Since doing that, my mood has improved, my energy is higher, I feel stronger in the gym, my recovery feels better, and my knee pain has noticeably decreased.

For me, the difference has been drastic. I spent months feeling stuck, and after making that change I felt like my body finally started moving in the right direction again.

I know some people will disagree, but I’m sharing what’s worked for me. If you’re stuck at a plateau in your ACL recovery, especially if you’re dealing with patellar tendon pain, I genuinely think it’s worth trying. The improvement for me has been significant enough that I now recommend it to anyone struggling to get over the hump.
