Hi, so I just travelled with Ryanair from Copenhagen to Bologna with my road bike in a bike bag.
Once I got the bike in the airport I did a check of the bike, looked alright so went to my hotel.
Then when unpacking the bike, the carbon had cracked on the chain stay where the rear derailleur is attached.
Both airline and airport are now refusing to accept claim or even do the damage report (PIR) as this had to be done inside the airport before leaving the baggage area.
What to do!?
Have spoken to my insurance company at home and they said they won’t help me unless I get this damage report PIR from the airport.

Anyone experienced a similar situation? How did you go along getting the damage covered by either airport, airline or insurance?
