It was my understanding that Strixhaven was already considered the multiverse's most prestigious mage academy in the original set (Strixhaven, School of Mages) and had students from many different planes beyond Arcavios. Some of those were Planeswalkers, but how did the non-PWs travel from their home planes to Arcavios to attend college ​​​in the time before the New Phyrexian invasion and the creation of the Omenpaths?​
