Pooling water on patio

Our patio was installed about 6 years ago. Within the last 2 years or so the pavers in this spot have settled more and more, causing the water to pool here. We're having a pool party next weekend so I'm wondering if there's a quick, albeit temporary, fix to make it less dangerous for the time being. When I have more time, I'm assuming I'll have to pull up the pavers and add more sand underneath but correct me if I'm wrong about that. I'm hoping it's not too big of a problem to rectify myself.

Another delayed opening by our pool company

The crew came out on our scheduled date, almost 2 weeks ago, and left without opening it. They're saying they didn't have access to "equipment/parts" and can't make it out again for another week.

What "equipment/parts" do they need? They got in the backyard, they opened our automatic cover, the hose is hooked up. Is it possible that maybe they wanted to be done for the day so used the excuse that they couldn't get ahold of us and left?

We're getting 80 degree weather in 2 days. Our pool water is gonna get bad if they put us off another week. I'm currently dealing with them but having no success. My husband refuses to open it by ourselves. What can I do?
