Any idea of background on this lamp?

This was my great grandmother’s oil lamp. It’s obviously missing the glass piece, but I’m looking to see if anyone can figure out what year it would have been made or any other information. The bottom says Norleans Hong Kong. Thanks!

What is it like owning a historic home?

I’m looking into buying a historic home in downtown Rock Hill and I wanted to see if anyone on here owned a historic home already and, if so, what is it like? Is it too much of a pain to make changes to the house? I know that renovating the exterior is more difficult than the interior. How much does it really limit you?
