Connecting flight need to be same day for US preclearance at YVR?
So I had a 12 hr layover at yvr before taking the connecting flight to seattle. I was denied entry to the US preclearance due to my connecting flight would be the following day. The agent said it should be same day. Told me I can only stay at level 3 or get a hotel. Basically I had to go through canada customs immigration and get my luggage which were supposed to be checked thru to sea. Is this a new rule?
