I recently got my wife’s car back from an accident in January (2024 Grand highlander limited hybrid) it only has 17k miles on it so value on the car is still extremely good. The other party was at fault they have Erie insurance and it’s been easy to deal with repair wise. However the damage was 15k worth of repairs and I feel it will put a stigma on if we were to trade in the vehicle or sell it. Can you go after them for diminished value in NY for something like this?
