Alex hirsch has many talented and famous friends even before he made his own show, he knew people like Pendleton ward (Creator of Adventure time), JG Quintel (Creator of Regular show), Adrian molina (Director of Pixar's Coco).

He is a sly bastard who knows how to trick people into becoming his friend, that's why he made friends with all the talented and famous people so he could use them as a ladder to rise in the industry and become himself a prominent figure in animation. He talks about how he doesn't care about prestige, but he absolutely does, probably more than anyone, that's why he makes sure that his name is associated with ue every famous piece of animation like adventure time, regular show by being friends with their creator, and movies like spiderman into the spider verse by being credited as a story contributer. He wants to be famous, but acts like he doesn't care, he wants to fool people, and no one should be fooled by his charm, and should call him out for what he is, a attention seeking bastard.

People talk about how Alex hirsch worked hard to rise up in the industry and make Gravity falls, but the truth is that his family was long involved in the entertainment business, his grandmother Faith geer was an actress, so it must not have been difficult for him to use that to his advantage and tell people that he had connections in entertainment industry therefore he had knowledge about how industry works.

He is just lucky that he was born a big mouth who could influence and charm people, and many people who think they can make their own show don't even have one percent of that charm, and thus will never make a successful show because not only this entire enthusiasm act helps you in making friends with talented people, but is also helpful in fooling executives by making them laugh, and convincing them that they can trust him. He had no talent other than being a loud mouth, he takes credit for all his friends works, and only acts like he gives a shit about them because he don't know how he will survive without all his talented friends because in reality he is talentless, and is just loud mouth.
